ALASKA!
Spent a week with a small group of great friends and amazing photographers at the Redoubt Mountain Lodge in Lake Clark, Alaska.
It is the only lodge and privately owned property on the 9-mile long, glacier-fed Crescent Lake. The area surrounding the lodge is home to Alaskan Brown & Black Bears and is regarded as some of the best Bear Viewing in the state.
No roads lead to the park and it can only be reached by small aircraft, float planes.
Lake Clark National Park is one of the least visited in the National Park System, averaging just 5,000 visitors per year.
Incredible bear viewing, superb food and hospitality, incomparable scenery, Redoubt Mountain Lodge is definitely the place to be.
We photographed these amazing animals all day, in their natural habitat, feasting on spawning salmon, tending to their cubs napping and playing. We travelled in small flat bottom boats to allow us to get to perfect spots to capture a variety of scenes and behaviours.
